Supporting the Arts

This magazine is published by a company that has a real affinity for the arts and has for many years been assisting artists, graphic arts students and song writers.

There is much talent about but we are generally missing out on the pleasure and insights these gifted people have to offer simply because we do not know of the existence of these individuals. It isn’t only at the Opera House or other established venues that we find talent. They are right here among us - as evidenced by the wonderful ABC program “Operatunity Oz”.

“I will never forget two years ago, on the first day of post-Christmas sale. Outside Myers a violinist stood in silence for a while with eyes closed. He was in thongs and ill-fitting shorts and looking totally out of place among the well-dressed shoppers hurrying around him. Then he started playing and produced the most magical piece of music that moved me to tears. A large crowd drew around him. Even very young children sat quietly, thoroughly engrossed.
